WORTHING, UNITED KINGDOM – NOVEMBER 2010: *** EXCLUSIVE *** Freshly fallen snow flake pictured in Worthing, England. While most of Britain has spent the last week scraping snow off their car windshields and front drives, one man has been busy taking incredibly detailed photographs of the heavy falls. Seeing beauty where others see delayed commutes and freezing temperatures, Brian Valentine captures remarkable snaps of frost, ice and snowflakes. Using a specialised macro-photography lens, Brian, 60, who lives in Worthing, West Sussex, reveals incredible crystalised shapes and unique lattice snowdrop formations. Taking the majority of his photographs in his back garden, the retired microbiologist has been an amateur macro-photographer for over half a decade, taking images that are up to 0.2cm to 1cm in scale.
